T.E.A. – Taxed Enough Already, or in Republican terms, Total Economic Anarchy

It is striking the effort the Tea Party has been putting on to express their point of view. I'm sorry to say that it comes off completely ridiculous. I do understand that there is an association with terms like Pro-choice and Pro-labor to the party, but a lot of the time I figure they don't really know what they are talking about it, and end up making a fool of themselves.

Fairly libertarian, there is almost a sense of pro-anarchy coming off from protesters, especially when they carry slogans like "Keep Your Laws Off My Body" or "Obama's movement is anti-white", and it makes me laugh while being depressed by the stupidity of people.

Not that I completely disagree with some of the things they seem to hold as priority, such as figuring out a proper Health Care reform or lowering taxes, but knowing the Republicans this is more of a protest to achieve attention (due to their loss last election) rather than one to get things done.

Holding signs calling Obama "Anti-American" or "Middle Eastern's best friend" is simply a joke, and a lot of the basis for their proposed opinions come from either thin air, or from the help of the great (note, that great in this context is hardly more than sarcasm) Glenn Beck and Fox New's team of very influential idiots.

What caught my curiosity, and almost went unnoticed, is that there is actually a party called The Coffee Party, a counter-part to the Tea Party.

This saturday is their national Coffee Party day, the 13th of March. Though the party has only been in business for a little over a month, and their longevity is open to discussion, but its great that some rather intelligent individuals are taking a stand to the a jest movement created by others.

The party itself promotes involvement with the government in a democratic, civilized way, and it encourages people to find more information about whats going on with their representatives.

I'll be waiting to see where the party will go with this, since its only expected that they'll have different forms of protests than the Tea Party, you know, in a way were things are more likely to get done. For example, not bashing a President with bullshit made up by Idiot Beck.

Their first national action will occur March 27, when they'll get together to discuss better ways to engage members of the congress during the Easter recess.
